checking in on your strong friends

I hope my words finds you in the middle of an amazing day, or at least one that’s got a couple of strong cups of coffee or tequila in it.
I’ve been thinking a lot about friends. How can I be a better friend? Or, am I even a good friend? So I took stock of all my friends and what makes them a good friend, to me. And our common denominator was strength. My friends are always there for me (well mostly… that’s not to say I don’t know a few “ho hums”).
Even though we all have this wildly unnecessary “we have it all together” energy, we do a good job at leaning on each other when life gets a bit too real. But I can also remember a time when the backbone of my friendship circle was fragile and I was often left asking myself, “Why doesn’t anyone check on me?'“
Which prompted today thoughts - how to check in on these strong, wonderful friends of ours. Like actual steps, cause y’all be missing the easy layups sometimes.
